Antennenstecker neben 2 Cent Stück

GPS in the smallest space

We are currently working on the development of very small, robust GPS trackers with mobile radio and LPWAN. The picture shows a compact GPS antenna. A 2 cent coin serves as size reference.

Applications

The trackers will be used mainly for monitoring equipment and facilities in the field: Machines, vehicles, containers, dumpsters. For these applications, two features are especially important:

– Long battery life

– A very robust case

We aim for a battery life of 12 months for trackers with GSM. For this purpose, the trackers are trimmed to an extremely low energy consumption. A robust (and secure!) housing is required for all outdoor applications. The tracker must not be easy to tamper with; any attempts at tampering must be detected and reported immediately.

Data transmission and handling

The data from the trackers (position, acceleration values, temperatures, battery states) are automatically transferred to our cloud platform and stored there. Matching alarms can be configured in our portal. These inform e.g. if trackers move out of a configured range.

Current development status & market launch

We are in the middle of development. The first close-to-production prototypes will be available in the next weeks. Production will start at the beginning of Q3/2019.
