During the rollout of smart metering systems in Germany and Europe, a large number of devices with communication via 2G/3G/4G networks are installed in the field. These gateways are usually installed next to the electricity meter, i.e. in the basement. Unfortunately, cellular reception is usually poor there, but a stable network connection is needed because meter reading is to take place via this connection. In addition, smart grid functions are to be implemented in the future via the so-called smart meter gateways.

With our network tester 2 LTE, you can quickly and easily check which providers are available, how good the network coverage is and where the antenna can be placed.
