Every elevator needs an emergency call system. In the past, emergency call systems were often connected via conventional telephone lines, but these are becoming increasingly obsolete due to the digitalization of telephone networks. Modern systems are therefore equipped with an emergency call system with an integrated LTE modem, turning the elevator into a cell phone.
Unfortunately, similar problems arise here as with normal cell phones; reception is often poor. This is particularly the case in elevator shafts. As a result, many elevators cannot be operated safely, and a reliable emergency call is not possible.
Therefore, it should already be checked during installation whether there is sufficient mobile phone reception, so that a lot of time can be saved during installation. In addition, expensive and annoying second visits are eliminated. With our network tester 2 LTE can be checked during installation quickly and easily which providers are available, how well the network coverage works and where the antenna can be placed.
This ensures that emergency call systems also work in an emergency.
