With each additional component in the meter cabinet, available space becomes more limited, which can make wiring the units a challenge.
For most installations, our standard Ethernet cable remains the tried-and-true choice. When an especially flat cable is required, our flat Ethernet cable offers a space-saving alternative. But there are applications where the remaining space is insufficient even for these two options.
Highly flexible design, space-saving solution
The Ethernet Cable Flex was developed specifically for these extreme cases. It is particularly slim and flexible, giving it a very small bend radius. By leaving out a bulky kink protector on the connector, the cable can be connected and routed even where only a few millimeters of space are available.
This makes it the ideal solution for densely packed meter cabinets, where numerous components are mounted on the mounting rail and conventional cables reach their spatial limits during connection or routing.
For reliable connections in the tiniest spaces
Despite its compact design, the Ethernet Cable Flex ensures stable and low-interference data transmission. While the tested insulation resistance of 6 kV provides high electrical safety, the cable features built-in strain relief for high durability even in demanding applications.
Its green jacket and attached labeling tab allow for clear identification inside the meter cabinet. The Ethernet Cbable Flex is equipped with compact connectors and is available in lengths of 12 cm, 30 cm, 50 cm, and 1 m.
Three variations for varying requirements
With this expansion of our product portfolio, three different Ethernet cable designs are now available for various installation scenarios:
- the classic Ethernet Cable as a proven standard solution,
- the Ethernet Cable Slim for space-saving cable routing,
- the new Ethernet Cable Flex for particularly tight and winding installation scenarios.
